Mostly Avoiding Cliche

This collation of sounds just will not get shorter,

No matter how many I add

I move ‘em around and change up the order

But maybe it isn’t so bad

If I hold your attention this rhyming convention

Might even step out of the way

And allow the intention I try so to mention

The pace it requires to convey

Recreational phrasing, occasional staging—

The craft of ethereal clay

Through rhythmic timing and sibilant rhyming

And mostly avoiding cliché.
