If I might bend your ear, I have rhymes to share
Both to read and to hear, if
you’ve time to spare
I have ballads on love and
verses on lust
Words from above and
thoughts about trust
Flights of fancy and the
flight of one feather
A little romancing and
wondering why and whether
I can try to make you laugh, I can try to make you think
I can lead you down a path of tears and sweat and ink
The mirthful and the magic,
the moments of a journey
The hurtful and the tragic,
the lessons I’ve been learning
Got a couple dialogues,
there’s a couple, kinda flirty
(Suitable for kids and dogs,
nothing’s really dirty)
Little bit of cynicism,
little bit of irony
Little bit of riddm’ in it,
little bit of melody
The setting of the sun, the
phases of the moon
Thoughts about the One, and
I mention a balloon…
Fundamental things about
fundamental things
Incidental swings and the
merriment they bring
Lyrical Alchemy and the
resonance of words
Saying how it’s meant to be,
meaning to be heard
The physical, the mystical,
bitterness and bliss
