Saying How It Is

See the flows fall in place because they sound like each other

Like they’ve chosen a pace and then found one another

They cannot be created for the meter’s fundamental

But fan a spark to flame and the heat is incidental

To the sublimation process to a higher state of order

When the information lost is found by transmigrating borders

On the interstitial spaces on the metaphoric map

Refractive crystal faces and a momentary tap

Into the wonderment and wizardry of saying how it is

And then wond’ring if it isn’t really praying where you live

‘Cause the church is in the mind, right beside the temple

And the lurch is in the rhyme, like this one for exemple

Then… Taking a break, and finding the groove

Shaking a shaker and bustin’ a move!

Lettin’ it all out and keepin’ the faith

Ideas call out and fall into place

No need to worry, no need to fret,

No need to hurry, no need to get

Too involved with the drumbeat, the sibilant sound

‘Cause there’s always a one-beat, and it comes around

When you never expect it, you cannot correct it,

But if you neglect it, you won’t stay connected…

Then back to the beat, and maybe the message

Living is sweet and you’ve got to express it

Because all that we are is a mode of expression

We fell from a star and then we had an impression

That maybe it’s all just the same as it is

Maybe we all just came here to live

So it falls into place when you call upon a space

For the syncopated pace of the _linguistic lace

In all of its glorious intricate patterns

Spelling a story, like it really matters…

See the flows fall in place just because they fit

And you know it’s been a grace when you see that this is it.
